From the ages of 13 to 23, I took these photos at pivotal locations in my childhood. They all contain amorphous shapes achieved through camera techniques used to visually represent how memory is often distorted.

poetry collection: metallic menagerie, an ode to growing up (2019-2026)

A menagerie, an enclosure meant to trap kidnapped animals so that their kidnapper can force them to perform. As a child actor who was subject to male teachers’ attempts to define me from the age of 14, I often felt like I was in a menagerie of my own. Recently, I’ve been deconstructing a lot of those external definitions assigned to me. Each of these poems speaks on themes I encountered from ages 17 to 23: tenacity, melancholy, joy, grief, heartbreak, appeasement, etc.
